David Abbott Ice Cream & Coffee Shop

Help us celebrate David Abbott and a life well lived, full of countless people being well loved by David. David has a long and strong connection to Camp Henry - from his childhood days as a Summer Camper to leading Youth Group retreats at camp with teens from Westminster Presbyterian Church to serving for many years on the Camp Henry Board of Directors.

We are thrilled to honor and celebrate David in our new Welcome Center with “David’s Ice Cream and Coffee Shop”. The groundbreaking for this new building is anticipated for August 2024, with a grand opening for summer 2025. This wonderful new Welcome Center will include an Ice Cream and Coffee Shop - where campers and guests and community members can gather and connect over ice cream and coffee.

We plan to collaborate with David’s many connections within the Arts community to bring a dose of David and his colorful and contagious spirit into the design and decorating for this space.

Craig and Shelly Boeve have generously donated the first $30,000 toward David’s Ice Cream and Coffee Shop (thanks Craig and Shelly!!). We are now working hard to raise an additional $30,000 to help us reach $60,000, the amount needed to help honor and celebrate David with this space.
